Going to be replacing my rockers soon. Looking for some knowledge about the body structure. If I cut out the whole rocker corner to the floor could the body twist cause door closing issues? This would be the section being cut out. Should the area be braced or can I just remove with out issue?

I'm starting a new project and wondering if these body panels should be welded. One of the previous owners welded the rear sill to the rear corners so i'm suspicious these also shouldn't be welded.

This can't be right. Plates welded in to cover the tops of the body mount bolts. I'm guessing P.O. thought this was a good idea. Not really a mount either. Just a bolt with a chunk of rubber. How is this supposed to work?

In southern Oregon I have a partial body from a 1972 FJ40. Cowl is is in good shape. Floors are salvagable, B-pillars back sheetmetal is trash. If not needed it will be scrapped.
