You're on the wrong coast to come use it! Nice.

My dream tool that will be incorporated into my dream garage/workshop.

Gotta have dreams right ;) ?

Awesome! That's the lowest price I've seen on the crop of two post lifts that are popping up. My aching knees and back might be in your debt. :)

I was able to pick it up from the Delaware store where they had them all setup. You could try them out and get a idea of the build of them . Plus they knocked $100 off that price. With DE theres not sales tax so picking it up was a no brainer.

Todd...can you share some of your paycheck with the rest of us poor folk....

Think of it as a contribution to the cruiser community!!

Nice job. More pics when it's up and in the ground.

Best.

You already have the best garage, that's just rubbing it in!

Congrats.

Didn't you already have a lift in your POS garage anyway?

:flipoff2:

As always, I'm jealous!!

Mot ;)

Can you elaborate on the difference between the models, other than height? They have several with similar weight ratings, assymetrical arms, but big $$$ difference...

Most are made from the same company and stamped (stickered) with who ever is selling it . ( like the freezer friges)
You do have some companies that make their own but when you start getting to the High $$$ units. What your then looking at using it 30+ times a day every day for the next 20 years without any cleaning or love by flat rate techs using it.
The thing I liked about this one was how heavy it was . Much thicker metal and bigger pistons then any others I looked at till I got past 2 times the $$ for what this cost
The one thing that seems "cheap" about it is the height limit shut off safety which is a cable instead of a padded bar ,but a long $5 piece of fuel hose will take care of any worries about marking the roof of anything .

OH MAN,
that is AWESOME....
Im so jealous.
I was sitting in the garage, just 2 days ago , trying visualize wether or not I could get one of those in my garage...
I just dont think it would be worth it, cuz I wouldnt be able to get that much lift out of it...
Congratulations, and post pics when youre done with the build.

Couple of questions....
1) How tall are your ceilings in your garage?
2) How much did it cost with shipping?

13foot ceilings in the garage as for the cost it was $1895 (they knocked $100 off as I saw them at a swapmeet the weekend before ) I didnthave to pay shipping as I picked it up, plus DE dosnt charge sales tax so that was out the door price.

Thanks for the info...
That is sooo awesome.

Well
Its a heavy SOB
It also handled a 2 foot drop test well enough and took a nice silver dollar chip out the floor :censor: because one front arm the engine bent out and up  .
Will have pixs later as Im a little bit (read as really  ) pissed off fighting with it for the last couple of hours to get it off the trailer the rest of the way and moved enough to get the vette back in .
oh and it started raining its ass off too.

Im hoping the install will go a bit easier

how does one get a thing like this attached to the floor? Enough to just put 4 bolts down in holes in concrete or does one have to dig and do fancy footing work?

(there is bound to be some serious lateral leveraging with a truck balanced on just 2 posts...)

OH YOU DOG, YOU.... I am positively green with envy :flipoff2: :D

nice score,

X2,
I was wondering this my self. Ive used the concrete anchors to hold in our concrete coring machie, and about half the time, they pull out during the core...
Im really curious too.

Chicago

It uses
(6) 3/4" x5" anchors on each post with a min. of 4" of 3000PSI concrete.

I went with at least 5 1/2" (thinnest spots) 4000PSI when the floor was poured.
I do here you about the little bolts holding it though but you get used to it after a while just think of how many of these are in use this way so it must be already overkill on the specs of them .
