Safe spot to drill driver side firewall

Updating this thread as I recently used it to find a location to pass some wires (Ecoflow alternator charger) through the firewall. I used the same location as savirc (OP) did, but I accidentally put a tiny hole into the return mixing box (referenced in the previous post) using what seems to be...

    Loss of acceleration, Transmission?

First thought: did you top off the transmission fluid since you lost some that was inside your old radiator? Check your fluid level first (follow the directions in the owners manual.. Essentially bring it up to operating temperature (150-175ish) and check the level while it's running and in park...

    Overheating on idle

My first thought is that you didn't fully burp the system of air. I'd start there (do you have a radiator funnel unit with the stopper?). Search around for directions... But essentially hook the special funnel up and then get your vehicle up to temp, and then get to 3000+ rpm over and over...

    255/85/R16 tires? Thoughts?

Do you have the tire you're going with picked out yet? I'd do the AT4s in 255/85/16 if they were E rated.

    Alternator Voltage Booster

Excellent info from a trusted guru. Thanks Malleus, always appreciate your insight. For the settled voltage, I see what you're saying; I've just noticed how the voltages react on a day to day basis on my gauges (one being Torque Pro) based on my average day to day driving (checking the next...

    Alternator Voltage Booster

What are your voltages (when you start, and what it settles to) pre and post install of this unit? For me (I purchased the GM diode somewhere else) my pre values were: ~14.1 when starting and settled ~13.4. Post values: ~14.5 and settled ~13.8 Just wanted to throw some data points out there...

    who made this rear bumper?

That does look like the first generation Dissent rear bumper that needed the rear crossmember cut when installing (current version doesn't require this).

Draining battery once in a while - 05 LC

Is there a DVD screen unit installed? That's a known culprit. I believe there's a few threads on the subject that a quick Google search would find. I always search the keyword/phrase and then "ih8mud" which works way better than the search here.

Are you a 100/105 owner with slow power windows?

2000 here. Probably a 3/10 when cold (Portland cold) and 6/10 when warm. I've sprayed the channels with dry lube and it kinda helps, but the cold really slows it down. I'd buy one if you made a version for my year.
