I've always treated the drivers window the same as the others when programming...all the way up and hold 3-5, all the way down, hold 3-5. Never did the drivers side 1/2 down not using auto.

Mine were just like you're talking about. Like the gentleman above said, I pulled mine completely off and cleaned the elbow tube with dental picks and reinstalled. Problem solved for me.

That button is used to assign a second full set of tires (winter/studded for example) so airing down the spare should still work. McDuff is right about the "second start" feature, but I believe you are talking about the small round TPMS button under the steering wheel, correct?

I've used the 1010keys Ebay store several times. They will cut a key from photographs. The fobs can be programmed with an OBD devise that they sell as well. It's cheaper and easier than it may sound.
