I'd say 4-5K, I got taken care of by a shop I use at a heavily discounted industry rate. I also used a roll of vonyl they had on-hand that was ordered awhile back for a personal vehicle. How much do wraps go for these days? My ash Mica is very raggedy now
I had maaco paint the front bumper and asked about their top of the line respray in same color (for me black) and it was 2K and I wasnt opposed to it as I wasnt gonna spent 6k-10k painting this thing. My GX is gonna need a re-paint within the next few years. The roof clear coat is shot (which I may wrap). The hood is not peeling yet but definitely degraded, while the sides are fine. I may certainly consider a wrap, but will also get quotes for a full re-spray in the factory color.
I have a cousin who owns a body shop, so hopefully I can get a decent-quality job with OEM-quality materials for <$5K. That's only a few months of payments on a new rigI had maaco paint the front bumper and asked about their top of the line respray in same color (for me black) and it was 2K and I wasnt opposed to it as I wasnt gonna spent 6k-10k painting this thing.

I wanted to do Black Gap, but it’s closed right now. They’ve had a good bit of rain here. Went down another trail in the State Park this morning only to get to a washout where the trail just disappeared. Had to turn back around. Still fun though.IYKYK. Haven't been to BB since in over 15 years! I'd love to go back with the GX for actual exploring, as it's still one of my most favorite national parks. The state park looks cool but I've heard it can be overgrown with lots of washouts - what did it look like on the ground?I wanted to do Black Gap, but it’s closed right now. Before you start, power wash the engine (with the engine cool) around the intake manifold. As you remove the manifold, have a shop vacuum (big one) handy to suck up all the crap that will fall (or try to) into the valve train. I did this job on my '99 100 series and was amazed at how close I came to losing various bits into the cylinders by way of the open valves. Watch for small plastic bits from the wire loom, bits of mouse nest, etc. that are BEGGING to fall into your engine. You are really performing brain surgery. Not to scare you away, but you need to be hyper vigilant until the very last moment as you lower the manifold back down into the valley.Well unfortunately today the starter decided to die. 2003 with 262K miles. First time I had to get a tow since our ownership of the GX of 5 years and 50k miles. Ordered Denso reman, lower intake gasket and cross over tube gaskets from RA should be here friday with rush delivery. Any pointers will be greatly appericated.
It’s been a great trip and we will definitely be coming back. A few trails and hikes are closed, unfortunately. Santa Elena is closed which really sucks. Apparently the road is impassable. Hwy 170 going through the park is breathtaking, though.Haven't been to BB since in over 15 years!
