Anyway I’m a car guy and of the 20 or so vehicles I’ve owned, this one is my favorite. Super reliable V8, can go just anywhere, extremely comfortable and best of all no car payment!
I paid $6500 for it with 273k. Currently at 287k. I bought it because of maintenance done by previous owner. He even helped me with a few mods.
I did have to put on new front brakes. I just upgraded to 460 calipers and rotors. A rear seatbelt latch had to be replaced. CV boot ripped in the last and I chose to just put in new axles just for a warm squishy feeling. Some kinda shady things about truck. Replaced outer tie rod boots. Ac compressor just went out I’m replacing that as well as the front seatbelt latch leather covers.
An Otojeta 16.8 head unit is going in along with a dsp 2 amps and new speakers. Original radio doesn’t work as no amp or nav unit or the cd changer. Was being turned into an overlanding rig by one of the previous owners. I’m number 4. Why front bumper was cut. I trimmed rear to match.
I plan on keeping the stock suspension since I don’t wheel any longer like I did with my 5th gen 4Runner. Besides I love the ride and I lower the airbags so I don’t have to lift my 75 lb wheelchair as high. Plus I know airbags were replaced by dealer at 261k.
I just added hand controls like 2 week’s ago. Well i have a mobile mechanic do most of the stuff as I can no longer get under the car. I’m too tall for the most popular kind so I had to get right hand controls a
