Just to show you how important aerodynamics is...

Does anybody know the rpm efficiency graph for these engines? I've heard the most efficient point is at 2k, but a graph would verify. I remember seeing those sorts of graphs for electric motors but I'm not sure if non-electric have them.

    Sticking Speedometer on 98 LC

I've noticed several (2?) times that my speedometer sticks at 0 miles per hour. After I've noticed, it fixes itself within several minutes. From what I remember, it fixes after I come to a stop. The only times I've seen it happen is after the LC has been sitting overnight and maybe a month...

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

Finished converting my cupholder holder to a 3d print. What'd happened was: I couldn't find a 98 cupholder insert so bought a newer year's insert and modified it to fit. I had to make something to hold the cupholder thing so made a clay holder. It "worked" but was too big to hold my water bottle...

Any solution for better Cup Holders

3d Print Cup Holder Insert Converter by smithytailor posted Apr 4, 2018 at 11:15 AM I'm working on 3d printing a converter that holds the wings from the newer vehicles. It should hopefully replace the clay monstrosity I made earlier. I'm still working on getting the dimensions right at the moment.

    Ram mount

How close does the Kenwood sit to the steering wheel? I copied the tacoma world build and got the 3 inch socket arm, but my phone sits too close to the steering wheel where my hands would hit it while driving. To set it far enough behind the wheel, I'll probably need to get a 6 inch socket arm...

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

Recently I upgraded the speakers and added an under-seat sub. I also made a bracket thing that will convert from the standard LC windshield button to a universal button. Was finally able to hook up my new rearview mirror and connect to the previously installed backup camera. Thank goodness! That...

Did I mess up my new headunit somehow?

TLDR: my headunit is powering on, sends sub signal and remote on signal, but the speakers aren't playing. It worked last night, but not this morning...what happened? I recently pulled out my 98 LC headunit and replaced it with a sony MEX-N5200BT. I had to do an amp bypass because it sounded...

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

The last several weeks have been pretty busy. I've installed an ARB deluxe front bumper and rigged the wires during the last two weeks. This past week I installed a backup camera, attempted to install a new rear view mirror with display screen (and broke the windshield...which is awesome...so...

Did you ever figure out a system like this?

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

I upgraded all four headlights to the 9011 HIR and aimed them. Such a difference! The right side is a bit dimmer than the left, but not too bad. Might be a voltage issue... I didn't have to actually make any tab modifications for the highs or lows which was surprising. I did have to trim the...

    Steering Wheel Squeak Be Gone

Agreed. Though, I saw OP mentioned using "HD silicon" and someone else said silicon grease? I'm not sure what is appropriate here because part of the mechanism looks like metal. I found some Heavy Duty Silicon multi-use silicon lubricant that sounds about right, but has the warning on the back.

    Steering Wheel Squeak Be Gone

Did you spray between the silver and white pieces or between the white and black pieces? Looks like there is a gap between both. Also, I have some heavy duty silicone lubricant that sounds like what is being used in this thread, but the back says "NOT FOR USE ON PLASTICS". Are you guys using...

    Introduce Yourself!

Ok, thanks. Anywhere else that you would suggest? I know there are several LC specific shops in LA, Arizona, and Salt Lake City but finding something local would be awesome.

    Introduce Yourself!

Hey folks! I just moved back to Las Vegas and wanted to check this group out. I have a 98 100 series that is mostly stock at the moment. I'm looking to upgrade the front bumper soon. How is 4 Wheel Parts?
