BJ40 B-Engine ball joint throttle linkage parts - metal replacements!

Tamarindo! What a great place to have an old BJ40. I did a summer in CR back in the mid-90s. Caught the travel bug there and have had it ever since. Been a while since I looked at this. I'll take some pictures of it this week, as soon as I get a chance. Best tuning I've done on my BJ...

    The Wall of Shame

This all started because a PO had put a wood screw in to hold one of the door handles. A hard shut of the door with the window down and the pointed end of the screw came in contact with the window and shattered it. That was the drivers side door. Passenger side has its own issues (see...

    The Wall of Shame

Speaking of ROW imports, my CR BJ40 continues to reveal interesting choices made with another addition to the WoS. Rebuilding the doors at the moment. The passenger side window never rolled down all the way, I figured the bump stop was off or the crank misaligned somehow. Who knows, really...

Suggestions on best way to add hubcap clips to steelies?

Hey there. I don’t have a part number. I thought I found them on eBay, but I can’t find them in old purchases either there or on Amazon. I didn’t weld them either. I drilled holes, tapped them with threads and mounted them with small allen bolts.

    2024 GX/Prado Release and Discussion

As a current 40 owner and 2013 200, and having just sold a 60, I like it! I love my 200 and the luxury matched with size and capability, but I also love a return more to the 60/80/100 series approach that this one seems to have. I like the modern drivetrain and retro 60s-styling. Checks...

Best place to get door glass for 63-74 40?

The OP (that’s me) ended up getting OEM used from SOR for $100 and $40 in shipping. Glass was shipped very well packaged and showed up in great shape. With the original glass broken, I took the opportunity to dismantle the whole door and refurb it. New gaskets for the triangle glass, and new...

    Trailer Brake Controller Connector

This thread saved me. Couldnt find the connector on my 2013 200 for the life of me. MUD to the rescue. Now we’re cruising along on the way to the North Rim on the Grand Canyon in the 200 instead on our old Sequoia with everything hooked up as it should be.

    Purchase Advice

Truck rentals are cheap when you absolutely have to have one. Set aside $2,000 for 15 days of pick up renting and you still come out ahead.

Best place to get door glass for 63-74 40?

I called and emailed Classic Cruisers in Poncha Springs but didn't hear back from them. I ended going to $OR (gasp!) and found used OEM glass for $101. I bought a couple of other little things I needed as well. Shipping was $40, which kinda sucks, but it is a glass window. $140 is more...

    13BT thermostat gaskets

I used a paper gasket on my B motor recently and it worked. Didn't have a gasket to begin with, which is not surprising considering it didn't have a thermostat either. D'oh!

Nice FJ40 on Bring a Trailer: Currently way too cheap...

weird. I stepped away for a bit and came back and the auction is still going on my computer, and stuck at $16,250. Now I'm the one living in the past.. (NEVERMIND!) I thought it was a minute and 14 seconds, Not an hour and 14 minutes. I'm guessing reserve has to be in mid-20s. Now it's...
