In 2001 i put a H55 in 1981 fj40. I sourced a set of 60 series “L” hangers and they did not match the needed angle.
Drilling a common 7x series mount in my opinion would be easier and CHEAPER. Of you are not doing a concours resto I doubt anyone will care. Still Toyota parts.
J60 series brackets are at a different angle.
A 70 series bracket from 1990’s would take a newer flat h55 mount and the weld on brackets to frame bolt from underneath and new holes can be drilled for main mount. 4 weld on brackets, two inside, two outside.
Maroof. Cluster is a circuit board with no moving parts other than meter servos. I do not know enough electrical engineering to know if the cluster is shot or not. Look for continuity from the plug for tach to the meter connection on back (again, I never dug down enough to find the correct...
Any power to meter from other gauges or lights etc or is the whole thing dead?
Two plugs to back of meter (for that production run). Make sure they are in. Check fuse if all out.
Why year and type of engine? 2009 was big switch to plastic dash and integrated cluster (6/2009).
For speedo, the sender is on the transfer case and travels through the engine loom to left loom and to main.
If you have the 1hz diesel, the tach sensor is on the injection pump with three leads...
A lot of thread drift in this tech discussion. Car is in US now, so importation issues are for another thread. It is clearly a H15x transmission as ID by case and t case.
TIG welding the transfer case plug is best solution. Transfer rear case back is 36104-60010 and $204 plus freight.
The worm...
To fix the front part of case correctly it has to come off. At that point you could buy a new case front and glue on faster than messing with it.
If you finances are good you could also get a H152 and install bypassing all internal issues with a used 3rd world transmission.
Idiotic to replace the tensioner that often. The springs are often out of spec and should be replaced, but 100,000 miles for the tension pulley should be fine. 20,000 kilometers is nothing. Replacing the belt is most critical.
not rocket science to change a v8 152 to other version.
33131-60070 bearing retainer
90363-50012 bearing (hard to remove and reuse)
90311-35023 input seal
and 33301-60060 input shaft
plus a tube of red fipg.
In the US, the H152 is a US part 33030-60C51 and runs about $2,500 USD discount.
A lot...
I believe this truck came out of El Paso. Transporter took it uncovered and shredded the original top circa 2000. Glad it has a good home. I will search for old images....

I got mine from toyotadxb.com. Mine worked right out of box. I had vdj and "basic" versions.
I assume you need a vdj version. Ebay.com.au was the place I bought a used vdj...
Folks this is a 2023 with 13,000 klms. Why would factory set and no messed with knuckle and or wheel bearings be an issue? Tires might be off but a spin balance will reveal immediately. He added a new suspension system. The issue is there.
