    96fj rear hatch electrical harness

Drop the rear headliner edge and unplug that cutoff pigtail from the vehicle harness. Looks like the hatch side got cut. I'd bet you can just plug in the hatch harness you have and make it work. I *think* the plugs are the same. I just did my 1995 and this is the harness I removed from my...

    Bush Company Awning

I need to sort out the hatch rubbing on the rear awning support...don't really want to move the awning up on the mounts any more, so that one may get a piece of pipe insulation. I dig the pool noodles for rain support Might have to employ that, and then I could add some LED strip lights to the...

    Bush Company Awning

I got a bad case of awning envy when on the Rubicon this year. Some guys in our group had Bush Company awnings and made my ezi-awn look like a tarp. I came home and scoured the internet. Turns out there was a very gently used one in Seattle for 1/2 of retail. I have family there so I arranged...

Steering Shaft seal fix... the Lazy way

@FIDO96 Did the same on mine- although I used a worm-drive hose clamp as it's all I had laying around. that locking collar is much cleaner. Ordered just now- thanks for the link!

How do I replace outer flange studs on 94 FJZ80 Land Cruiser? Is there a special tool?

If you've mushroomed the studs to the point you can't thread the studs on, you may be able to clean them up with a thread file or thread die. Being that you already ordered replacements I’d get a stud remover and zip 'em out. Harbor freight stocks some that will work long enough for one job...

    Lx450 Alternator Questions

Bear in mind you'll need to modify the stock bracket some to make the J2 work. It's not bad at all, but it's not 100% direct fit.

SOLD So Cal: Late Model FJ40 Patina Green Complete Top & Ambulance Doors

For sure, let me know. I don't *need* it, as it's waaaaay nicer than the rest of my rusty old 40, but my hardtop is hardly worth trying to save. Miraculously all the doors are pretty decent on mine, so I could make something work... In any case, thanks!

Best high end shocks for the LC80

Do you want a direct-fit bolt in shock, or are you willing to fabricate? That will dictate what your options are. I have BP-51s and have been very happy. King also makes a direct-fit shock, albeit not triple bypass as mentioned. Dobinson's MRR are good too I hear, as well as the offerings...

Builds 1995 80 series build- a rolling black hole where money disappears

In the continuing spirit of overkill, I'm also adding a second SwitchPro panel to the rear for control of some more stuff. More to come on that...
