If you've mushroomed the studs to the point you can't thread the studs on, you may be able to clean them up with a thread file or thread die. Being that you already ordered replacements I’d get a stud remover and zip 'em out. Harbor freight stocks some that will work long enough for one job...

Bear in mind you'll need to modify the stock bracket some to make the J2 work. It's not bad at all, but it's not 100% direct fit.

Do you want a direct-fit bolt in shock, or are you willing to fabricate? That will dictate what your options are. I have BP-51s and have been very happy. King also makes a direct-fit shock, albeit not triple bypass as mentioned. Dobinson's MRR are good too I hear, as well as the offerings...

In the continuing spirit of overkill, I'm also adding a second SwitchPro panel to the rear for control of some more stuff. More to come on that...
