Made my own door cards and Speaker upgrades

Search for local plastic sheet suppliers near you on Google. You'd be surprised how many there are around the country. Denver has 3 or 4, most sell direct.

Made my own door cards and Speaker upgrades

Fantastic! This is on of my "winter project" goals too! Although, my execution will likely be less impressive. How did you mount the panels? Use the factory style push clips or screws? Did you recreate the whole panel, the bottom 3/4 or just the bottom 1/3? My plan idea was to use a few...

    Bad vibrations

Chasing my drive shaft vibes too... Turns out we are twins! Front drive shaft vibes were hidden by 2 things, my old mickey 35" MTs (new AT3s are much smoother) then finally added Slee Caster plates, which exasurbated the vibrations, which lead me to a Double Cardan requirement (still might be...

    High ZDDP Oils

Rotella Diesel Oil is what I run in my Datsun, 1FZFE and know a Land Cruiser shop that recommends it too. The Zinc is lower than the race oil (about half the ppm), but too much zinc and you can also damage what's left of you catalytic convertors. Just remember, they come in SAE containers. So...

    Leaky birfs

Mark, these upgrade thicker guys? (and how many miles/years you got on em?) https://trail-gear.com/axles/trail-safe-fj80-knuckle-ball-wiper-seals.html OR the all the other seals in here: https://trail-gear.com/axles/toyota-fj80-knuckle-rebuild-kit-no-bearings.html Thanks!

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

I've been eyeing those, they claim low road noise, which is subjective. I have Mickey Thompson MTs, so mine are loud, no doubt these will be quieter. What did you have on there before and how is the noise relative to those?

I'm stupid. Any magical ways to install a distributor fast?

I pull the plug, but keep the boot on the valve cover, the compression stroke will push it up, or inversely suck it in slightly, confirming which stroke your on visually and sometimes audibly depending on your boot condition. Then use a dowel or timing marks to get to TDC.

80 series Windshield Glass Replacement 2026

Just as a point of reference for June of 2026 my local Toyota dealer's website let me order the OEM glass ( 56111-60190 ). Pricey, but not wildly more than a local shop with quality glass. False hope, thought there may have been a new batch but no, cancelled after 30+ days. Not sure why it...

    OBD1 FZJ80 93/94 O2 Sensor wiring color

    Here is my attempt explaining the layout in 3D from the ECU/Harness side. https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/1993-1994-obd1-fzj80-o2-sensor.1323502/post-16286531 (1) HT - Orange or Gray (H8)(2) B+ - Red/Yellow (3) OX - Black or Blue/White(H8)(4) OX+ - Yellow or Yellow/Black(H8) Note the...

    1993-1994 OBD1 fzj80 o2 sensor

89465-69115 Just to reaffirm, O2 issues, wiring issues all resolved with these O2 sensors and of course repinning/replaceing the harness side of the connector. When repinning, pay attention to the pin outs! They are mirrored, so don't let your brain forget that. LOL I had flipped 4 with 2...

FZJ80 Failed CO Emissions and Code 25

Quick and dirty, unplug the battery first, reset the code and then swap the O2 harness plug to the other one. See if the code follows. Saw on your Rising suns post that you repinned the OBD2 ones, but these are the parts you need. Those posts were made when the stopped selling them and the...

FZJ80 Failed CO Emissions and Code 25

Check your timing with a gun, could be a vacuum leak, exhaust between engine and O2. My wiring was FUBAR, could be something along the chain there or simply a bad O2. Toyota makes them again for OBD1 trucks, but check the FSM for the O2 wiring values and resistance readings.
