I believe they can but I am not sure why you would. Aluminum would be better overtime as it is more durable than plastic no doubt. It is also heaver when working on and I think they are only on pre vvti integration. Maybe they can be used regardless of vvti? I guess if they are interchangeable...

66kid Thanks for the update. I replaced my Thermostat and fixed a lot of my issue. my hoses are all old looking so I may replace those. You have any part #s for vacuum hoses?
