The truck has been together so long and has no issues. So before SAS it got some love. Front and rear diff fluid changed. No mixing or issues. Passive fluid exchange in clutch and brakes. Fluid was cooked. Power steering fluid was maybe 40-60k since I put the 80 box. A little dark but...

Threw a new used clutch in it. Finishing the details. It was shuddering and the clutch assembly was cooked.

I just got done popping a spare f155 in my buddies 71 40. I set initial timing at 11, assuming it was the same as my de smog 60 2F. It seems to want less timing. Should I back it down to 7*? We live at sea level and we will be taking it up to Colorado next week. Rebuilt carb, valves set...

Same with me on the 60. I have noticed when my carb fan plug came out and it didnt want to hot restart.

It's a different realm for me, but I dont think reflective loom on the fuel lines would hurt. But I dont think thats causing a problem for you. On James' 40 hes dont everything going in and out of the cabin, and it cut temps down on the truck a ton. But that's a torture device of a truck. @RiggityJ

I run Mobil1 from walmart in 15w50 in my 2F, 3FE, and the 3UR in the 200. It works great. All very high mileage engines.

Thanks for taking on Travis's monster. I'm excited to see it done. Last year we stopped somewhere in colorado and a place let us walk into the beer cooler fridge to cool the dogs off. It was too much without AC.
