Finally did the Loncky wheel cover install

got to this over the weekend - fortunately in my case it was the '1 spline off' variety of the issue, and with one click left I'm shooting straight down the road again. I have no idea how I missed that on the prior attempts, easy to get in a hurry and overshoot the runway I guess. Thanks for the...

Finally did the Loncky wheel cover install

Recently installed the Loncky wrap, and did so by removing the steering wheel. Since reinstalling, steering has been 15-20 degrees off. Initially I thought I was a spline off, and I've tried 2x to reinstall with no luck, I end up with this (pictured). Anybody know where I'm going wrong? Is it...

Latest Toyota/Lexus dealer sales and discounts

FWIW - forgot to order some bits and pieces by last night's national 20% discount deadline. In a rare turn of events, google delivered an even better 25% off promo code that just worked. Code: GRob25Q324 Thanks GR owners?

Window Motor won’t relearn auto-up, always goes halfway back down

Great video. The one thing I don't like is - what if you get all the way in there, attempt to reset, and it doesn't work? Is replacing the motor a more 'guaranteed' approach to getting this done in one shot? AND - what is it about taking everything apart, and then plugging the motor back in that...

replacing rear ac lines- 100 series suggestions and observations

might be an unconventional approach but the way I found mine was doing a quick recharge (which I had to do approx once a year for a few years), and the process opened the pinhole to the point where I could hear the leak hissing which made it easy to find. FWIW.

    "The Big Three" Electrical Upgrade

@tesq - can you post a pic indicating what you explain above? I had the same/similar issue at the connection point to the driver's side firewall. The sound was a buzz that followed the RPMs. Wasn't there prior to install, as soon as I disconnected that specific ground cable it was gone. Tested...

Where to find a 100 Series steering wheel in the US?

Hasan Khan sells them with fresh wraps, its the fastest/easiest solution that I've heard. I'm not sure what his handle is. Took me all of game 7 of the world series and then some to wrap mine with the Loncky solution. Maybe I'm slow, but it was challenging work.

    AC Illumination

Resurfacing an older string here. Back up and running, stuck with the green and went with the T4 neo wedge option on amazon (WLJH brand). 10 for $12 Prime, hard to beat and rolled the dice. Learned a few things - relatively easy to pop the controls out of the dash, and open up the unit. Easy to...

    100 / LX470 Cloth seats possibility

+1 on Wolfman's - Ed was great to work with, and ended up making me a custom darker grey to match the darker 01 OEM color. Question - Appears I stripped one of the back two seat anchor mounts upon reinstall (doh) - any ideas on how to correct this? I think tap and die is the answer, just...

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

DT Headers and motor mounts on the 2001, finally. Less ticking, sounds ALOT better, noticeable giddup improvement on the onramps. And looks cool! Thanks Vince at Stanton Automotive in Woodinville for the install for all my W. WA brethren

Surfboards + Roof Box + Factory Rack = Brainteaser

Ok here is where this landed, for the good of the order. I could not fit both grandma's coffin (carbonite 21 box) and boards, just not enough real estate on the factory rack due to the width of the box. And with a fam of 5, the box is essential for trips. So here's the parts list that solved...

    98-02 to 03-05 facelift/grill question

I did this recently and you need to replace the long 'sub-assembly' to get everything to fit. I followed this exactly and it worked out: https://tlcfaq.com/main/2012/05/face-lift-your-land-cruiser-100-series/

Surfboards + Roof Box + Factory Rack = Brainteaser

Hey team - Hoping somebody out there is smarter than me when it comes to loading up the factory rack, and can put this puzzle together. Trying to get ready for our annual camp/surf trip to Tofino (which if you've never been, add it to the list!). Here are the puzzle pieces: 1. factory rack 2...
