He almost rolled it yesterday too coming down from the farm. Those small as$ dirt roads get slippery in those hills in Northern Nicaragua. Specifically Mozonte Nicaragua. High altitude coffee makes harvesting and logistics a pain.
Here is his hilux.
Specifically, my cousin in Nicaragua wants the sticker package for his 22r truck he imported from Texas. He is meticulous with keeping his trucks in shape down there. His last few bits are these items.
He wants the oem stuff.
Can these be ordered here online? Or a paint shop. I just want to...
Airline L track bolted to plywood which has to be bolted to the floor. If you buy the proper one it is actually load rated. Used alot in handicap access vans and school buses. Us cargo control sells it as well as straps. You can find cheaper l track and the different attachment buckles on amazon...
I drive an 18 wheeler, the boxes on these big truck are usually 1/8" so about 3mm. 6061 aluminum. 2mm would be a good thickness if you will have good strong mounting brackets or braces. If not I would go with 3mm like the previous post said.
If you intend to have tools or hard metal items in...
I started motocamping, and that really makes you shed alot of the unecessary crap. Now I usually just use all my moto camping stuff in the 80. And I can still go more minimalist. Heck I have been avoiding bringing my camera the last few times too. Just took some cell pics. Getting back to just...
I have an Oztent rv4 and rv5 now too, but I still find myself using the Gazelle more than those two. The only time I dont use the t4 is when I go out on my motorcycle for camping. I also lend out the Gazelle more since it is so easy to setup for first timers. When I invite friends or relatives...
I have an espar in my 18 wheeler. Like @cruiserpilot said, it will roast you outta there. They are very efficient. I would only look at webasto or espar. Those china knockoffs freak me out. But if you are a risk taker or budget minded have at it.
Install is super easy, and vent can be away...
Gb 70 still has not exploded, jumped vehicles tons of times. The GB150 has done lots of work with the vehicles I haul and has jump started 18 wheelers a few times already.
When battery tech and on vehicle solar can keep it juiced up well, it will be nice. Till then the infrastructure to use these is just not there. Good for around town and short trips.
I would like to see a quad engine setup with IFS and IRS and sealed engines mounted at the wheels. That would...
@yodaTEQ makes some quality Ditchlight mounts! Thats what I have on my 80. I ran the wires through the mirror and door. Pita to do it that way but clean looking.
How many people? Will they always all be there? Will gear be left always on the vehicle? Will some gear be rented?
I would just keep it stock plus some versatile storage. So a flat rack, and a hardshell RTT, prefferelably one that supports weight up top, for kayaks/bikes/Canoe. Depending if...
