To add a solution, when I took it to a shop to have the front brakes replaced, I asked them to take a look at the horn. Turns out, it was missing a fuse! I swear I've checked that a handful of times, no idea why it was missing. But all was well after that!
Nope. I haven't seen any issues on the 460s with them - early GX and LX 470s have the downstream ones go bad on occasion, but they're very cheap and simple to replace when that time comes (I did it on my LX a few years back).
Could your rotors be warped? Funny enough, I was just reading through this thread yesterday after I created it a year and a half ago because my new GX is having the same issue as my LX.
I'm guessing (hoping) that all they did was leave the spiral cable, aka clock spring disconnected - that's likely the data cable you referred to. This video is of a Toyota Matrix, but the steps are identical to get to the cable, except for whereas the Matrix has exposed Torx screws on the sides...
I've been running mine without it for a few weeks after I got tired of taking it on and off while changing coolant, installing a light bar, installing a front camera, etc. I haven't noticed any changes or higher running temps.
Very cool! We're hoping to move to Sweden in the next couple of years so it's cool to see Prados represented. What's the off road scene like there - is it easy to find places to ride?
You need this switch - it is for GXs without the air suspension, so you'll still have two blank panels but with added crawl control. (In the website picture, it shows four switches, but it's just the two).
I don't have RAHC but am also looking for something similar because I don't like the giant blanks on mine. I thought about drilling them out and adding USB ports. I'm not sure if the circuit board runs underneath the blanks or if it's just empty plastic though.
