I dont think there's much doubt. Also those testers can deliver false positives.. When the problem occurs the definitive signs for me are visible gases coming out of the radiator and/or lots of large bubbles.

Similar setup in my 47! a bit of PVC pipe with an end cap.

The vehicle held 4th at 80kph coming up a hill that kills every other 2H I have driven up it (Southern Expressway, Adelaide).. I am sure it would have held 90 had there not been traffic in the way. Usually I am down to 60kph in 3rd even with a runup to 100kph..Fully loaded in my HJ47 even...

The big problems are cropping up now.. dipstick came out, but wouldn't go back in.. was jamming at the bottom.. tried a spare one too. Brought the tube out and managed to fish this out of the bottom of it! 165klms and the, real, most significant issue is still the non functional fuel gauge...

Have you confirmed the alternator is charging.. on the HJ47 at least, this filter light does dual duty as a charging warning light.

No noordeman cam in it.. almost certainly its factory unopened. The Noordeman cam is just a cheap chinese cam, nothing special.

This 2H seems to be off its nut!! This is the culmination of a 3.5yr build of an HJ60. It's an amalgamation of about 5 different vehicles. The engine is from a rusted out beachside 60 series that I think had about 250,000klms on it. No turbo fitted, but It genuinely feels like its turboed...

I'm not a fan of turbos on 2Hs and I dont have such a checklist.. but I'll contribute that the cooling system needs to be in tip top condition, a turbo will find every weakness in your engine. Viscous hub in very good working order Water pump changed at least some point in the past few years...
