impossible search for 1 foot of hose, im at a loss, please advise

My local Napa in the Phoenix area stocks bulk Gates transmission cooler hose in 3/8, 5/8, and 1/2" which you can purchase by the foot. You can also find this on Napaonline.com. This should not require any specialty vendor.

Cost to buy all new non-discontinued oem parts

If I bought a rust free 80 with <200K miles that had been decently maintained, I would probably plan on $15K-$20K in parts and hundreds of hours of labor to bring it up to a the level of reliability of my current rig (which I have had for 20 years). This assumes no internal engine or...

    New Member Big Problem

It will never be worth the time, frustration, and money to attempt to repair that damage. You would be far better off finding another 80. What is the condition of the rest of the truck?

    Worth the time to fix

Don't walk, run away from that nightmare. The cost and frustration of getting that running would not be worth it in my view.

    80 series rear bumper

Kaymar makes a similar model with an integrated (and rated) receiver hitch. You can get them with no swing outs or with left and /or right swing outs. Like TJM, the U.S. distributors come and go.

Anybody run RockTrix wheels on your 80?

There website is short on design, materials used, load ratings, etc. All I can gather is CNC-milled aluminum. As a comparison, check out the Method Race Wheels website which is chock full of technical specs. The Rock Trix website also does not list a physical address. I assume they are made...

    Events/Trails ROTM: Saturday, February 25th, 2023 - Montana Mountain

Not a great showing today, but we made the most of it. The weather was great, with some faint hints of snow still remaining above 5,000 feet. The snow melt made for a damp trail and water was flowing in all the creeks. We had a few difficult spots going up the narrow shelf road trying to...

Ring Car Cam and ODB-II port cover on 96

Yes, there are 2 screws that hold the OBD port to the fuse box housing. Unscrew those and then you can pull the port down behind the dash.
