    Trailteq keyless entry

Read my post, genius. My entire point is that it should have been properly described. Oh, and if everyone operated within the base’s limited functionality we’d still be walking around barefoot. That’s a crappy excuse for bad engineering.

    Trailteq keyless entry

I’m not bashing anything. Everything I’ve said here is exactly what I told you via DM months ago. I described my experience with your unit and response to my issues. If you’re not going to describe the limitations of your product in your own product description then you can’t whine and play...

    Trailteq keyless entry

It’s nothing I haven’t communicated to him directly. If he wants to come on here and contradict what he already told me, that’s fine. The parasitic draw was 100% his unit. It started when I installed it and stopped when I removed it. It was supposedly bench tested before it left, so excuse me...

    Trailteq keyless entry

You can use the door switches. You just have to use your key (or the door switch again) before the keyfob works. For example, if you lock your car with the door switch you cannot unlock it with the fob. This was confirmed as normal operation by Trailteq. Maybe they don’t know their own product?

    Trailteq keyless entry

No doubt something is wrong with the unit I have. My point is that giving up the door lock functionality isn’t worth the hassle of trying to get it fixed. It’s a severe limitation and could have been remedied easily if the thing had been engineered properly. A limitation that should be disclosed...

    Trailteq keyless entry

To moderator: The out of phase/loss of door switch functionality issue I described is apparently the “normal” operation of the system. It’s completely idiotic and a non-starter for me. The limitation is so severe that it should have been disclosed and it wasn’t. I spoke with the company and I...

Loud exhaust rattle at low rpm

Could also be your muffler. Some good whacks with a hammer can clear it up for a bit and are also broke college kid budget friendly.

    High RPM vibration

Thanks. That’s consistent with what I’ve gathered, but very nice to have it in one spot. There seems to be a bunch of different potential causes for speed-related vibrations, but everything RPM-related is leading me back to the mounts.

    High RPM vibration

I’ve been chasing this issue for a while and can’t seem to track it down. At high RPM (>3,500) I get what feels like a pulsing vibration. Originally I could recreate the issue in neutral by just holding a higher RPM. That led me to the harmonic balancer that I noticed had a wobble to it. I...

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Thanks! Yes, swapped directly on. It was a 10-15 on. It came with the back trim, cruise switch, horn switch parts. I was planning on swapping mine over but the cruise switch on this looked/felt brand new so I left it. Everything plugged right in and works like it should. It was listed as...

“New” steering wheel from a Lexus LS400 is in. The color matches much better than this picture makes it seem. Both the horn pad and wheel could probably use a good deep clean.

That belt clashes bad with those seats. I’ll do you a favor and take them off your hands.

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Make sure you measure draw before and after. I had the only the lock/unlock unit and it was draining my battery after a few days. Wound up pulling it out and magically all of my problems disappeared. One “feature” he doesn’t mention is that you can no longer use your door switches to lock the...

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

I know the K03’s are supposed to be better in wet weather, but my experience with the K02’s was so bad I think BFG must’ve bribed someone for the 3PMSF rating. The Falkens were great, but the AT3’s are getting phased out in favor of the AT4’s in most sizes. Reviews on the AT4 are mixed although...
