12v glow plug replacement for 2L-T LJ73 with Wilson switch?

I bought my truck with a Wilson installed. I put 6v plugs and (unknowingly) burned them with Wilson in no time. if you want to use Wilson you can put 11v plugs, like the 2lte engine has. Or stick with the super glow module and put 6v back in. I run 6v on mine and made sure I disconnected the...

    Fuel feed

that primer pump is present in the Toyota diagrams for the European spec LJ s. its the winter pack option, guess is meant to heat the fuel before going to the IP., so probably has a temperature sensor and a heating element. Its discontinued and price was in the range of 300+ euros. If you...

    LJ70 Diesel in Canadian winters

Webasto . u can find models that can be hardwired to a switch and dont need a computer to run. mine is connected to a gps tracker that has a sim card, so I can text message to the gps and that turns on a relay that starts the webasto. the whole will run untill coolant temperature reaches 70 deg...

    block heater for 2LT

i use a second hand webasto, actuated by dash switch or text message via a gps locator. works great and has its own controls, heating stops when coolant temp reaches 70 deg. only issues are: very sensitive to air in fuel line and bit noisey if you park it on a small street with grumpy...

What did you do on your 70 series today?

I think that is to hold the electric wire away from the mechanism. when you open the door you will see. It took me 5 minutes to install it and it does make a difference. might be a good idea to order the metal pin as they get worn too.

    remove fuel tank

I replaced the vent pipe with a new one due to severe rust and the difference is that now there is no more "hissing " sound when I open the fuel cap to fill the tank. before, there was a lot of vaacum in the tank (I think) and I even drilled a small hole in one fuel cap to eliminate that. the...

    How bad is the 2-LT?

I used auber meter. ebay has also some meters that are looking identical with auber, some functions are different. auber will read a vdo temperature probe (which I installed in an adaptor inserted between thermostat and radiator. you will find info that says to put the egt probe before the...

Troopy and Apple car play radios

Double din brackets are bigger then single din brackets. Whatever you do, make sure you use the oem brackets, otherwise the bezel will crack. for single din radio I went with a brand named Kienzle (Germany?), has a retro look while offering bluetooth. normally the toyota connector needs a...

I bought new fan clutch, but old clutch filled with 10000cst pulls more air, so I left the old one in place.
