SILVER Star
O-k!
I wanted to start a thread that would serve to put as much information about Pig paint options as possible in one thread...
Normally, I would put paint as last on the list of things to do (Pig needs plenty of other work), but the
indicated she would really like to have the Pig out of primer if we are to have 2 Cruisers in the driveway.
Some things that would be relevant to this thread:
1) Were all Pigs sold in US 2-tone in color? If so, were the roofs the same color as the the lower color, or were the roofs sometimes white?
2) What colors were available in what years?
3) When did Toyota start listing the paint codes on the VIN plate under the hood? I saw Ben's former Pig had a code listed. I forgot to check mine, which I believe is a '74. Ben's was a '76. I would love to have a table that corresponds the paint codes to actual colors...
4) Big important one - how do we translate the original Toyota color codes into codes that we can buy today?
Let the fun begin!!!
(We REALLY need a Pig emoticon!!!)
