She's a 1978 with fresh paint, new Toyota fenders, 94k showing but the odo quit working after I bought it, speedo works fine. She doesn't burn any oil, all though she leaks a bit.

I've installed a new HEI Dizzy, Weber 32/36, 2.5" shackle lift, POR15 the whole inside floor, new emblems on front fender, roof rack, drives straight down the road, no slop in the box, new clutch slave/masters and hydraulic fluids. Everyhting works perfectly, A/C, rear heat and rear tailgate window.

I drive it everyday and has never left me stranded. It get more looks than any other vehicle I've owned. To be honest, I'm a new vehicle guy I think. I'm tired of restoring, rebuilding, and chasing parts, so I'm considering selling Daisy.

I know one thing, if and when I do, I will regret it terribly because this is the nicest piggy I've ever seen.

Here's a pic:

It will be a few days.....the front seats are out of a Nissan van and are easily removed to sit by the camp fire...the back seat is original with a few tears, but otherwise in great shape.

The Pig market has been pretty crazy lately. I would guess $8k-10K if it really is completely rust free, and runs great. I have seen people complain about paying $2k and then Lou's truck is on Vintage's site for $45K so it is really just a guess.

Ryan.

I would say almost rust free....there's some slight surface rust inside the door frames, but nothing you can't rub off with your finger.

I have a friend looking. Shoot me some pics. I'll start the price high so you can work down a bit. It should be over $10k I think to the right person

Beautiful pig you have there.

KC lights suit the front of these vehicles.

I vote you keep it

Good lord, I love your pig. Sadly, with a third child on the way I too might soon be starting one of these threads. The need for a newer vehicle that holds three car seats, has no fumes iside, doesn't rust when it rains, and comfortably rides at highway speeds may cause me to put off my piggie love until my kids have their own cars to drive.

I feel that with the economy in the crapper, now may not a good time to be selling piggies....

I've been quietly following the group, learning, since '06. I've been thinking about an fj55 since my first encounter in the early 90s and am ready to buy something clean and as original as possible. Sent you a PM to see if this is the pig for us :)

Yep, sold the piggy and bought a 1962 Ford F100 4x4 with 59k original miles...

Congrats on the Ford, shame about the piggy. Your '55 looks a lot like one that I used to see around Albuquerque from time to time. I never could get a chance to get a closer look, as I was usually headed the wrong way in traffic when I saw it. I figured it might yours with the "ABQIRONPIG" user name, but the Oregon plates are telling me otherwise. If it was not yours, then there is one dead identical to Daisy here in NM.

that was mine...I miss it dearly but the Ford will turn just as many heads if not more...the rareness of the Ford is cool, I cannot find another one thats 4x4 anywhere.
