1988 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62
4x4
Automatic
280k-ish miles
This truck has been in my friend group for more than 15 years. It is not a perfect truck by any means but it is a good truck. I've done so much work on it in the last few months, and it's never let me down. It's got an ARB Front Bumper, Superwinch 9.5k Winch, OME Lift and 33" Falken Tires. The air condition works great so does the heater.
Here's a short list of some of the work done using all OEM toyota parts:
Water Pump
Thermostat
Belts
Just about every coolant hose I could get my hands on
Hose clamps
Water temp sensors
New battery from Full Throttle
Rebuilt transfer case (not because it was broken but the seal between the transmission and TC was leaking
CSF Radiator
Full knuckle rebuild and wheel bearings using Koyo Japanese Bearings
SOR SS brake lines in the front
New calipers
New Pads
New Rotors
New drivers side motor mount
Exhaust gaskets
That's just what's at the top of my head I've done a lot to it.
And I have a bin full of new parts I will include if you want them.
Now for the bad. It's got rust in the roof at the front corners and a couple of other little spots on the cowl and rear hatch. That said the rockers, wheel wells, fenders, etc that normally rot are all clean. It's an old truck and it's got some rattles and work it still needs, I'd consider it a project but it runs and drives great. IT DOES NOT PASS SMOG I WILL NOT BE PROVIDING A SMOG. Someone decided they wanted to cut the cats out while it was parked in LA and you will need to sort that out but the exhaust has been repaired.
I'm asking $12,000 or best offer, low balls will be ignored and I am not accepting ANY trades. Located in Ojai, CA.
