People who are behind me probably think there is something wrong with me. I drive with my head almost in between the front seats. Due to the low height of the center console and the fact it's closer to the passenger than driver. So I decided to fix the problem. It needs an armrest. Bad. While at LKQ I found a Disco with the perfect ones. 10$ and 6 months later I finally Got time to install it. Along with new leather from Shane.

Made the bracket out of 1/4". Welded it up and now have the single best mod I've made to the 80. I love it.

I've never driven with arms on arm rests

I really need one of these. What is "LKQ" and what is a "Disco"?

I went with the Tuffy box option, because I needed the storage space. But that's a heckuva nice armrest. I feel your pain about not having a place to rest that right arm/elbow because I have a trashed right shoulder.

Very nice. I was spoiled early in life when I turned 16 and my dad had a 82 Bronco with captain seats. 19 years later I still want a vehicle with proper arm rests. I have seen make shift ones but yours looks very stock. A couple years ago I separated my shoulder snowboarding and had to use a pillow as an armrest on the 1,500 mile trip back home.
