I was towing a new toy home on the trailer, so swerving was out of the question...

Happened so fast, all I could do was cringe and hold on tight

(FF to 0:50 for the hit and 2:40 for slo-mo)

I have yet to put her on a lift, but so far, she's gunna need a new bumper, fair lead and winch mount :meh:

The good news is that now I'm in the market for a REAL bumper :)

I'd like to get one that looks like a short bus, but has the winch hidden between the rails rather than in plain sight :hhmm:

Is there anything out there like that?

Better change the music. EMI content filter got ya. (Can't view the video. :frown: )

From the pics, looks like you did the best thing and hit it straight on. Let the frame horns and winch take the punishment, not the much weaker sides/fenders.

Damn that sucks.
No damage to the winch?

The video isn't working for me.

Good to see that you are safe and the cruiser relitively undamaged.. Could have been a bad encounter.

I cant seem to play your video

So, what was the toy where you towing??

At least it didn't roll up under the drivetrain. How long did you shove that thing down the road before you were able to stop?

It was caught under the front diff until I stopped and had to back up a few feet before it got spit out (you'll see it in the video whenever it decides to work)

All I could see was a bunch of sparks in the mirrors and lots of white smoke, so I thought it might have ripped off my drier, but it was fine

Did the Driver of the pickup that cliped the fridge stop??

I like those strobes. Truck driver probably thought he threw that into a cop after you switched them on.

Yes, you can see him walking back to check on me @ 2:10

I did see that but wasnt sure it was him. That very big of him..most would keep on going..

looks like he hit it while it was sliding into the middle lane also and just happened to kick it into play back into the slow lane in front of you .

glad no one got hurt and some douch is now out getting another fridge and maybe some tie down straps this time

Your lucky you had your winch bumper upgrade. Once again nice job on your bumper. It could of been much worse. Glad no one was hurt.

AV freak!!!!! That sucks, at least you have it on Video for insurance and your safe. I watched your close call in the rain in another post.

As far as the AV freak part goes, i wanted to ask you how the cameras are holding up...I'm looking to get a "inexpensive" reverse cam off Amazon and wanted your input.

Edit, i think your winch mount saved your frame horns by tying them together.

x what-ever on glad no-one got hurt, and the b80 minimumly. Pretty cool having that recorder going !
