Started the sliders a few days ago. I just need to add the rub rail to the drivers side and its done.

Brackets are 1/4" plate built to fit their specific part of the frame so everything is a tight fit. 2x4" .188 wall for the main section, and 1.5" .120 wall DOM for the frame supports and outer rail.

Going to get started on the passenger side next week hopefully.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I like having a step on there too. It makes it a lot nicer when you have a roof rack (which is on the list!)

yup, thats the plan. I'll angle the step up similiar to how Slee has their sliders. Doesn't stick out as far, but still offers protection and a place to step once I build the roof rack.

and thanks!

Man you do good work Discovered! I'm looking forward to seeing the rig when your done! Keep it up!

Nice work, cant wait to see the step pieces..looks very strong

Nice work:cheers:

Nice work I like that

I have to get steps for the :princess:. So I have been really looking hard at Bump it Offroad step sliders I kind of like the OEM step look.

You can't go wrong with Mike's products, they are well built and he is a great guy to work with. Here's a pic of my Bump it tube sliders.

I plan on adding the steps once I get them both mounted. I still need to work on the passenger side, which is going to take a bit more time cause of the wonderful cat!

I need to get it done soon too, theres been a BUNCH of toyotas stolen in my area lately so they can cut off the cats and sell them! Almost an average of one every other night!

Almost done. Just need to build the skid for the cat. Probably going to have someone dimple die the plate underneath it.

I have the rub rails on too, I didn't get a chance to take a picture of those though.

Everything clears just fine, even though it may not look like it in one of these pics.

That is some nice work. I wish i could weld.
Off subject, but where the hell is these thieves selling the cats too?
I thought it is illegal to sell used cats. I was going to sell mines from my rolled 94, but saw another ad that said it was illegal.
Cherry work though. Are you putting kickouts in the rear or just str8 across? Damn it looks good!

Thanks! Honestly, I have no idea. I think they sell the metal (platinum) thats inside them. I do know that they make a lot of money off them and its been happening all the time around here.

My friend had it happen to his jeep last week. Not too long ago they caught a guy cutting them off of the Range Rovers at the Land Rover dealership I worked at a few years ago in high school.

I'm just going to run straight tube on the rub rail. I had a lot smaller step on my land rover, and I never really had any issues of rocks rubbing against the body. I took that truck through worse trails than I plan on taking the 80 in. When you depend on the truck to get you back home from a solo trip out in the desert, you need to start re-thinking the weekend rock crawling trips and all the abuse it takes!

i'll post pics of the rub rails tomorrow.

thats freakin awesome work. You done with the rack too?
