Help! was getting ready to start my rebuilt motor, filled with coolant last night, looked fine. Discovered a pin hole leak on the oil cooler. Anyone ever repaired one, or just replace? If replace, does anyone have one for sale.

76 didn't have an oil cooler. Did you add one?
I believe this is the case.
If it's got a pinhole in it, it's probably all rusted out inside and needs to be replaced. You could repair it and hope for the best, but if it goes bad in the future you have to drop the oil and the coolant.
SOR's got them for $100 + S&H.

My thought was to just keep everything the same. Everything was purchased already to plumb it back in anyway. I've already ordered the replacement . I've been working on it when I can the past couple of years, so I can wait one more week.
I like the extra internal cooling, but it does add a few extra hoses, potential failure points. I had one blow once, the only time I've ever been stranded while driving a cruiser. At the time I wasn't even aware I had a lower oil cooler hose.
Pighead, do you still have the oil filter/oil cooler base? If so, would you be interested in selling it? I just need the base (adapter that bolts to the block).
