I've searched through 5 pages of results and not easily found how to disassemble the glass from the side mirrors safely.

I have a replacement pair of mirrors but the glass is loose and the head is seized on the arm so I need to disassemble it to get it operational again.

Any tips, tricks or prior threads appreciated.

Thanks folks!

I heated the glass and metal up with a heat gun to release the hot glue holding the glass, twisted the s clockwise and counterclockwise until it came free, then peeled the metal lip holding the glass back as much as I dared and stuck a pointy tool under the mirror and slowly worked it out.
Reassembled by snapping is back in with 3M emblem tape to hold it in place.
