Rear brake caliper slide pin boot? (1 Viewer)

I need to replace the slide pin boots on my rear calipers. The bottom hole is a "normal" type boot that attaches to the opening of the pin bolt hole in the caliper.
But the top hole is a different kind, that goes through all the way through the hole, illustrated in the attached (47769-22010). I had a hard time getting the old boot out - Any experiences on how to install the new boot without tearing it would be appreciated.

Clean the bore that the boot fits into. Lube it with some grease. Lube the boot with grease. Use the caliper pin to push the boot home.
