New too GX470 how do you remove rear air bags? (1 Viewer)

Just sold my 60 for way to much picked up a 470 for 10k 136k on clock. It has full Lexus service I'm very happy with it. Planning on lifting it but I don't understand how you remove the rear air bags? Is there a nut on top? I did feel one do they just slide out if I drop the axel? Thanks

There is a clip you have to undo.

Hard to explain but there is a tab on top that "locks" the spring in, and there is an air line. I cut my air lines as I have no intention of going back to the air suspension.

The only hard part is removing the existing line. There is also a little clip towards the wheel that you need to get off. You raise it up. Find that clip, use something to flick/pull/grab it off, cut the airline and they come right out. Use the metal tech rear perch on the bottom and order the Upper Isolators from Toyota or any number of places. I think my build thread has the parts listed in it.
