Well I got her pulled out tonight and in my truck. Time for the resealing and pretty new paint! I'm doing all the normal seals and the KDP along with a new water pump and thermostat. I was thinking maybe a head gasket to be safe? 2 cents on that idea anyone?

Awesome! she's a heavy SOB, isn't she.
She's a big girl for sure hahaha. So I'm dumb. A stock 6bt makes 400 ft pounds not 440. Would you trust that with the ranger even now? That's pretty borderline

That's a call you've got to make for yourself :D With how easy it is to turn that VE pump up, I'd be hard pressed not to, so I'd want a drivetrain that could handle the full wrath of the 6BT, not the de-tuned rating of 400ft/lbs.

I have an addiction for power also haha. I am going to convert my nv4500 here soon this next week

Degreased and pressure washed. I think it turned out pretty nice! Building motor mounts this week for it. I'm thinking about building a cradle for it. What's everyone's thoughts on that??

This is how the 24v mounts fit on my 80, they're not symmetrical. The 1st gen 12v mounts are not as wide though... Not sure if that'll be an issue on your 60, these just barely squeezed between my frame. The problem with the 1st gen mounts is that they rip in half and there is a lot of play in them. That's why they redesigned for the 2nd gen. The 1st gens are just like the OEM yota mounts, square blocks.

Those look awesome! Welds look solid too! And yeah I saw the similarities between cruiser and 12 valve mounts. How are the mounts on the frame holding up? Those are how I usually build them but I was thinking they wouldn't hold up

And how thick is that steel?

I'm still working on the rest of the swap but that's 1/4" plate. I'm not worried about them. Could always gusset a little too. Does make it harder to pull the engine though.

I am thinking I'm going to build some mounts that work like the 24 valve ones and have them look like this. This is how my small block mounts kinda looked and they were bullet proof
