Atta boy! Though that looks mild for you. Come run Fordyce and let's add some trail beautification to your rig.

That welded swing-down still amuses me.

Dude I need a chop & bob before I take on Fordyce. That just seems like all the wrong places for an 80 to go.

Nahhhh. I've run a bunch of "not for full-size vehicle" trails at the hammers. The 80 is fat but it can squeeze through stuff better than you'd think. I can't imagine Fordyce being worse. Besides, you have a snorkel for the water crossings so you're basically ready to go!

I have run Fordyce in my 62. I haven't run the whole thing, but what i got it through was enough to make me $h!t my pants in some spots. definitely a ton of fun! I can't imagine it being much different in an 80.

Apologies if you've addressed this already, but what camera setup are you using? And any significant processing? Or is the clarity of those shots all in the camera?

Wicked truck.. looks like a blast.

I'm still thinking of chopping the rear top after this summer. Just to shed some weight and help it climb better. Then I might be ready :)

Well clarity, yes, that comes from the camera. These aren't your typical smartphone photos! I shot these with a Nikon D90 and a Nikon 17-55m f/2.8 lens. I shoot in RAW format and use Photoshop CS5's Camera RAW editor. To get that look I typically bring exposure down, then bring up fill light. Bring down higlights and lights, increase darks and shadows. Gives it that dramatic look.

do a removable top like the old 1st gen runners

I really like the PKP80 special. If I do it, would probably be similar to this. That way the main cabin still has a top over it.

This weekend was all about lazy camping and relaxing. No wheeling aside from driving on dirt roads. Been almost a year since we've done a real camping trip and it was long overdue.

We found a waterfall in the distance that you could only reach by kayak, no roads or trails on the opposite side of the lake

Beautiful thing to see in a time of serious drought

Jumped in for a dip in these upper pools. Water was FREEZING but was nice after the steep hike. Not a single other person on this side of the lake

We went 'normal' camping too(just off the slick rock trail @ Utica resevoir). It dumped on us every day in late afternoon and chipmunks raided our food every night :D

Nobody was up in the sierras this weekend. The sketchy weather chased all the city folk away...

What a coincidence. Ammo and I are thinking of doing that trail this weekend. What is it with the a****** squirrels in the Sierras? We got raided too. They're all in the trees just waiting for you to leave for 5min. They even ate our dog's food. We had thunder for a few minutes and it rained pretty good for about half an hour. Aside from that the clouds came and went.

Jose

You take some of the best wheelin pics Ive every seen. I hope you like your purchase. You've a pleasure to work with, I hope you enjoy all your trips.

Thanks Brian, appreciate all the help. I'll be sure everyone knows who 4WU is when they ask about my suspension :)

Nice
Bowman,sawmill,fracherie ?

I'll be there again for a big bday/family camping trip this weekend.
