well im going through my father in laws 8274, It didn't run when I brought it home. I checked the solenoids and 2 were bad. I changed them out and put it back together but it didn't work.

I took the motor off and saw inside the motor where the f1 post is the copper is broken going to that post. Is that fixable or is a new motor my only option? Thanks!

Post a pic of the damage

Here it is, you can see the one on the right spun 180 degrees breaking the copper.

I bet a good motor shop could repair that, but it could cost as much as a new motor. I would call a local shop and see what they think. You may be able to clean that up and re-braze it yourself if you have a torch.

Good excuse to put a 6 hp 9.5XP motor on it... but it would be cheaper to fix that one.

Took the motor to the shop close by and they said $35 to repair or $90 to rebuild. I went ahead and had it rebuilt since its almost 40 years old. Should have it back tomorrow.
