Hi guys,

My friend Gabe wanted a Safari style snorkel on his 2nd gen (2011) Sequoia, but there were no options available. So we did what some have done with the earlier 2nd gen tundras and did a custom install with a 200 Series Safari snorkel.

If anyone wanted to do the same, I made a video documenting the install process. We included the fender measurements as well to save people some of the same struggle we went through. We also used the stock air intake to secure the hose, so you don't even need to renove the air box. Only extra tools you'll need that differs from a regular snorkel install would be a heat gun and some ratchet straps to bend the snorkel for pillar mounting.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Wow. Thanks for sharing. That's a lot of work but the result looks great.

No problem, someone had to do it haha!

It was a fair amount of work, we showed in the video but we cut the original hole an inch or so too far to the right, which is why he did the dremel cut on the left to extend. Also why we said the measurement from the left edge and not from the right. Luckily there's enough material on the snorkel that it just barely covers our mistake.

That Stache though!

Is your Sequoia build documented anywhere? Nice work btw.

@IGLUZJ It would have been really cool If you guys had taken some butcher paper or similar and made a template for the intake hole placement. That could have been scanned and uploaded as a file printable on A1 or A0 size paper at a kinkos or something. That would have been a really good starting point for the humble bumbles of the Sequoia and Tundra board. Great work though.

Shoot yeah that's actually not a bad idea.
