Well the first photo was taken 2 days ago.It just came out of paint booth today. It is Dune Beige panited with the same method as when it came from showroom. It is a 1975 built in Jan.I had all the rust spots fixed as well as a new seals going in it.

We used the same method i guess as toyo did.It does not have a clear coat on it.It is just the acrylic paint as they used. The paint guy looked it all up online and did the same steps as they did in 1975.It seems like that kind of paint job holds up very well.We are trying to not make it to glossy.

Where did he go to look that up? It would be interesting to find out exactly how Toyota did it.

Well to be factory spec it has to be single stage acrylic sprayed with extra orange peel. Your paint looks to nice to be factory spec.
