Mine sits at 175 or so. Replaced thermostat 2yrs ago, temp probe in the upper rad hose aluminum fitting.

Hmm, thinking maybe I should change mine as well, it would be great if I could get this thing to warm up quicker when it's cold out.

Yeah, once the temps dropped in the autumn, my engine was only warming up enough to keep me from freezing in this cabin. Not enough to run veggie oil either.
Now I can get back to my veg system.

You know, once you convert to manual, the motor will run more efficiently while driving and take longer to warm up.

down here where is no cold at all .. my 1HD-T runs at 174F normally ... hot it's 184 and cold it's 164 ..

I pretty much read the exact same temps in my truck, but in Celsius (80C normally, 85C is the highest I've seen).

Now that I'm running the madman EMS1 which is in °C, I'm seeing ~75°C. Haven't done any prolonged hills, and its not summer yet...
