100% agree.
Honestly, it was harder finding a bone stock one for sale, than someone's "overlanding" rig. I thought I had pretty reasonable goals, 03+, bone stock, 200k or less, at least a 8/10 interior and exterior, good maintenance, carfax, and...
It can definitely be cleaned up to last a lifetime, but you are at the tipping point. I can assume you had a major brake fluid leak at the MC at some point? Probably want to get that frame rail rust cleaned up and coated. Maybe install 4 matching...
First off, wanted to thank all the Forum contributors for the wealth of knowledge and feedback that is selflessly and endlessly shared here. It is an incredible resource that is invaluable and feel fortunate to find so many like-minded...
I say the logo placement is actually ideal, it's out of the way of the hammer blows.
Even though their not going to get pummeled with a hammer they'll still get marked up.
Tires are back on the ground, LC t-bars have been leveled side to side, and she got an alignment this afternoon.

I promise that I'm not dead - I've just been on travel a whole bunch for work (and it's not slowing down either!)
But, I'm making progress very slowly - I'll just leave the below photo as a teaser. Would you look at how shiny this engine is...

UCA on DS is done and reinstalled.
I drained the front diff to pull the CV. The damn CV came apart in my hands. This was the trail repair...
In my case, I've already replaced these complete arms 96k miles ago. The BJs are good, but I'm really curious to see how 96k pretty hard miles have treated the rubber bushings. I'm putting poly in place. Reluctantly.
Well I'll have all the...
