Hello,

After doing a search, I know the size for the exhaust manifold studs on the head side is m12x1.25 but I am wondering if the size on the other side is m10x1.25 by any chance.

I heard marv sells them. Whichpart number would I specifically be looking for? I have oen more stupid question. Does a toyota part number still exist for these studs?

Thank you

David

On my 78 the manifold bolts and studs are 12M and do not step down. The two end bolts are 10M.

The only reason you would need these step down studs would be to use F intake and exhaust manifolds on a 2F without modifying the manifolds...

I am getting ready to run a 2F w/1F stuff...
If I don't run the step-studs, would the installation be as simple as drilling out the 1F stuff for the larger studs?

thanks

EDIT : Did a search - drill out to accept larger studs.

Sure, if you can drill aluminum and cast iron at the same time and keep it symmetrical....

Some folks have used a carbide bit in a die grinder with good results also....

I just installed the studs...it was too easy.

All I want to verfiy is that the studs are 12x1.25 down to 10x1.25.

That is what they are.......

Well, I called SRO to verify with them, and they had no idea. I think I weirded the customer service girl out when I started to ask about step studs. The guy had no idea as well.

So poser, I am going to go by what you verified. The studs are 12mm on one side and a 10mm nut will fit on the other side. I am not using these studs for the manifold. I am using them for another application where that specific size is crucial...

I'll let you know the outcome!
