My buddy Lee Sumner @ga12r1 is hosting a trail cleanup on March 14th at the Talladega National Forest if anyone is interested in attending

Free Tickets (head count for food, beer etc.)

We'll be camping out there and might swing by Morris Mountain ORV park while we're in the area.
Regrettably I will be in Mason Tx on the 14th at RoundUp. Have a great day and a productive day. Say hi to Lee for me and tell him to not let the wind blow him away.

Nice seeing everyone yesterday

Driving home, stopped at my neighborhood spot for some ethanol free gas. Quickly realized a mistake that i made a couple weeks back - doh! Order placed at @cruiseroutfit

For what it's worth, I've been running regular unleaded in my 40s for years without any issues. I've heard that ethanol can cause problems, but I haven't experienced any myself.

When possible ive run nonethanol in my older cars - always heard ethanol can be corrosive over time to the fuel system. 2f is pretty bomb proof though

Just heard about Yota Atlanta meetups from Mark R... so thought I'd ensure I was watching this thread.

Unfortunately think I'll miss this coming Saturday assuming there will be a meeting as I have to take my oldest to take the SAT... in the opposite direction. Maybe I'll make it up though since he'll be there for a while.

A little about me and the rigs. I've got back into off roading after nearly 40-years when I was a teenager and had spent a fair amount of time driving friends '76 Int'l Scout II and '85 Jeep Wrangler all around North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia mountains and hills back then. Then career and young family never worked out to get back on the trails until the kids got older and were interested. Now 2 of the 4 of them are enjoying exploring with me. I signed up to become an OnX Trail Guide to try and get a few more of the trails around guided and/or updated.

Last November I got the already built out Land Cruiser 80-series Collector's Edition from someone in Utah off of BAT, as seen in the profile pic and elsewhere on the forums. I've really only replaced the wheels/tires, winch, and primary lights to date. For the next couple/few weeks it is at ACC Garage for rebaselining work so we all know where it is starting from. The LC is really just for fun with the kids who are interested in offroading in the North GA (and some NC) mountains and trails. Do plan to hit some TN/SC/AL trails and dispersed camping at some point too.

As for the build: 2.5" lift, OME suspension, 35x11.5r17 Toyo R/T Pros on Method Bronze (quite dinged up after 6-months), previous owner made overloading boxes and roof rack that are fine for me, new ARB 12k winch replacing Warn Evo 8k that will go on my FJ someday, ARB Front Bullbar with Baja IP6s, 4x4Labs rear bumper and swing outs. Once back from ACC have a few more things to install. BD flood utility lights for sides/back under roof rack, BD ditch lights for back corners of hood, Sony head unit with AppleCar, Midland GMRS and Antenna. I am an Amateur Extra, but no current plans for ham radio at the moment.

Also have a stock 2010 FJ. The Continental A/T tires are AWESOME on pavement. ;) They have been offroad a couple times and are "ok", but generally is a daily driver at the moment - though I am thinking about building it out at some point.

So, that's me and the Toys. Looking forward to meeting folks.
