GA Traverse UPDATE:

NEW DATE: Tuesday Oct 21st - Sunday Oct 26th

Here is the “tentative” schedule. We adjusted so guys could join us in the Clayton area on Saturday and Sunday.

Tuesday night ~ Tuesday evening, we will camp somewhere around the trail head of Forestry Service Road 630 / Mill Creek Rd, just east of Crandall, GA

Wednesday and Thursday ~ Big Frog Wilderness Loop

Friday ~ Charlies Creek Area

Saturday Morning Meet at the Ingles in Clayton, GA

Saturday ~ Hale Ridge Road area

Sunday ~ Burrells Ford Road area

We will post daily updates when cell signal allows.

Is there any interest in free baseball caps and cozies?

While in the process getting a few things in order, it was obvious that I have many more hat and cozies from various events than I need to be holding onto. So repurposing swag from a cross section of Cruiser suppliers to Cruiser lovers makes more sense than sitting in a dark closet.
 
is there a gathering this Saturday? Or is it next weekend?

Heads up! For December 6th, we won’t be meeting at our regular spot.

Instead, we’ll get together at Cruiser Patch and Darin’s place in Brookhaven. Bring a cold drink and something you’d like to throw on the grill.

Depending on weather, some friends are organizing an outing on Saturday covering trails through Cohutta / Big Frog with numerous overlap onto the Georgia Traverse (i.e., last chance before winter closures). With the solid interest in Georgia Traverse, would you like the details on the chance of a joint outing?

Sorry to have failed to connect that the breakfast meet was this weekend, which makes an audible unlikely at this point.

Feel free to post the details here; and those who are interested will have them.
 
Meeting at the McDonalds in Elijay at 0830 and rolling out at 0900. Based on prior outings, expect FS roads at a brisket pace that covers a fair amount of ground. No camping planned. Usually back in Kennesaw by 8pm'ish ( if we have supper as a group, this time could be later)

Last weather forecast for N Ga, indicated 14% chance of rain on Saturday so I am cautiously optimistic

My buddy Lee Sumner @ga12r1 is hosting a trail cleanup on March 14th at the Talladega National Forest if anyone is interested in attending

Free Tickets (head count for food, beer etc.)

We'll be camping out there and might swing by Morris Mountain ORV park while we're in the area.
