With most of these finds, the 'title' will be the rarest part! ;-)

It's mine. Will bring it home next week. More pics at that time.

Wow...clean looking rig! Did you find the owner, and convince him to sell it to you?

Those turn signals are not even Toyota...just big auto store, after market lights one would put on a trailer...but the rest of this '77 or '78 looks in surprising good shape!! I would not be surprised that if with some MMO, you can get the engine running again.

Edit: x3 on loving the goat pics

What is MMO?

Marvel Mystery Oil!!! never mind.

Yeah, I was kinda baffled by the front blinks also but the tail lights and floor shift put it a bit later. Great find and make the goat pic your avatar!!!!

Does it come with a title? Nice find, indeed a '77! And red, like mine was when it came from the factory. Would be interesting to see what the build date is on it.

Looks like the water pump is out from the pics of it laying in the passenger seat from your interior shots.

LandGoat, I love it. Owner assures me he will produce a title. Going back Thursday morning to clean the rat crap out of the engine compartment and floor boards. I'd rather not bring any critters to my house if at all possible. I will take more pics then.

The rats nest is likely under the dash or in the glove box. I hope they didn't chew up the wires!! Wear a mask when cleaning it out. You don't want to breath any of that rat crap dust.

If the goat is on the hood when you pick it up, do you get to keep 'em?

Be sure to check the box channel that runs laterally across the underside of the tub just under/behind the front seats. It is open on both ends and is a favorite spot for rodents to build nests that trap moisture and rot your metal from the inside.

It's mine.

Will bring it home next week.

More pics at that time.

Any details to share?

Was looking for a good story to go along with this one!

What condition is it in?

How long/why was it sitting?

I went to clean out the new find this morning. I wanted to try and leave as much rat crap and debris there as I could. The engine compartment was packed to the underside of the hood with sticks and leaves from the packrats. I got the majority of it and ended up with this.

The goats were a lot of help.

Cleaned what i could out of the inside.

The goats were very excited to see what was going on in the Cruiser. They had lived on the hood and roof for the last two years, but really liked the inside.

Spare tire carrier looks pretty sturdy.

As does the roof.

And the hood. He didn't want to leave.

This guy couldn't figure out the seating arrangement.

Hooked the 76 up to the 77 and pulled it out of the yard.

Ran into an old friend with a truck and got the FJ hauled to the In-Laws. They live in the country. I wanted to hit it with a pressure washer before bringing it to town.

Here are some pics after I got it blasted a little. Looks like the major damage was the passenger floorboard. There was an old piece of carpet laying there with about 4 inches of rat crap.

And the guy came up with the Owners manual and these pieces of paper also.

This thing was purchased new about a mile from my house. ODO is showing 66,000 miles.
Anywho, I have a lot of work ahead and I am sure I will be asking lots of questions. Thanks for all the help from you guys on the 76 and for all the help you will provide on the 77.
The Land Goat will ride again.

Wow, I'd love a find like that. The guard goats would be a plus as well.

This find gets more awesome with every post...very nice looking rig!!!

Now that she is home, are we allowed to know the end price?? Just curios as to what such a clean find would cost
