We are bringing meatballs. I hadn't planned on bringing chili but could make some if there aren't enough participants.

We need more chili entrants! @angerhater ? @Green Hell Mustang ? @GLTHFJ60's better half? @dbenke ? @CharlestonG8R ? @forrest5000 ? @mtweller ? @southerncruiser62 ? @77 KROOZER ? Everybody is welcome to participate - we'd just like to know in advance for planning purposes. This isn't one of those highfalutin' things!

Remember, chili is usually best a day or two after being made, so that takes the pressure off having to spend precious time on Saturday putting it all together. Just cook it at home and bring a crockpot or a pot and stove for heating and serving.

The club will provide all the chili accouterments. Sour cream, cilantro, cheese, crackers, etc. We also cover plates, bowls, utensils, etc. We will also have some alternate food (dogs, burgers) for those who are not chili fans.

Oh, yeah... There's no shame in bringing chili that your better half made for you to help get you out of the house for the weekend while they stay home and relax. ;)

Well if that's the case....Mrs. Taylor makes some mighty fine chili so let me see if she will whip up some for me to bring.....

you want some of my chili?.....you want to fart smoke? or fart sparks?

LOL^^

I would love to make chili to send down if someone is willing to take it and bring back our crock pot? I could freeze it and you could just plug it in to warm up so it would be not a lot of hassle. I make so much chili at home that it is a going joke in our family :)

We are unable to go this year most likely unless the kid's stuff gets cancelled.

ghost pepper garnishes?

Carolina Creeper's home is Fort Mill SC . . . .

I will be at the work day and also participating in the chili cookoff. I think this is my first post :) I also live 10 minutes from the barn so if you need a wood splitter, let me know. I can bring one.

Welcome! :flipoff2:

If you can bring a splitter, that would be great. Our 2nd splitter has been in hibernation for the last couple years and wouldn't start the last time I tried. Thanks for offering and look forward to meeting you.

Great news, Kurt! Looking forward to having you out again.

Since Sat 12/3 is a work day and then we need to cook our chili afterwards, I am offering my services to go to the Barn before the party to cut and split all the wood. I am local so I can do it on Sat 11/26, Sun 11/27 or any day before the party. I heat my home with wood so my wood splitting muscles are in shape. I don't know exactly where the Barn driveway is on River Rd but I can follow good directions. Let me know if you'd like the wood cut and split ahead of time.
