I personally only find one disadvantage of coarse spline axles. That is the lack of lockers and limited slip options. These axles are not worth a lot and once you get one just buy another one where ever and just have the axles shipped. Carry one spare and you cover both sides. Probably cheaper than having custom axles made. A mini truck rear axle which would be the next easiest option but they only have a 8" diff. Since I don't run V8s or huge tires I just use the Lock-Rights and Torsens I already have.
