What is the rough schedule? I have a meeting from 10:00 - 11:00 tomorrow and was planning to cut out after that. I also just talked to Tom Blackman at Olathe Toyota because I ran into him at a car show a few weeks back. Originally I thought we would be by after lunch, so I would like to give him a better idea of our schedule. He's looking forward to having us stop by.

Yeah Charles, I was getting poll of who is able to go to dealers, then send them an email.

I hate to talk up this visit from our club and have 3 cars show up. With the heat too, not sure anyone wants to go in a rig. I don't mind sending an email and say have to reschedule with the heat.

Rough plan was Molle at 11, Olathe at 12. Joes at 1:00

I was hoping to cut out early from work tomorrow but that won't be happening most likely, so I can't do dealerships.

I am bringing CO2 tank, timing gun, 4 jack stands, birf separating pipe, and a big roll of blue shop towels. Anybody need anything else?

Does someone have a fish scale for whatever it's used for on the front end? And perhaps the correct size socket for the hub nut? And did I chime in on the pit stop approach to front ends. I love the idea since I really am unsure of what I'm doing.

Kelly has both. I borrowed them for my 80 axle rebuild.

I am going to email the dealers and cancel the road trip due to heat and other conflicts. Will try to reschedule on cooler day.

Still plan to start early at the house and hopefully get more done.

So what's the plan for tomorrow morning? What time is everybody starting?

Everyone is planning on being here around 8:30. We just finished up tonight.

A great big THANK YOU to Kelly for hosting. Could not have imagined pulling off so many successful maintenance and repair projects in this weather without the benefit of air conditioning for 3 rigs at a time.

Also THANKS to Rob R and Thomas for feeding us and all the others that pitched in to help get so much done.

really. .no pictures for those of us that were not able to be the shop boss.??? my kit of stuff help at all?

Never took time for pics.... Two 80 series oil pump seals and front pulley seal, 3 axles were fixed up, spring, bumpstop creation and suspension work, a/c install (partial), bodywork on FOO, several alternator swaps, etc.

Many thanks to Thomas for cooking up some awesome pulled pork.

Many thanks to Erik for the stuff beforehand. Yes, we used several of the shims (after they were found).

And this would not of happened if it were not for Rob K. for all the help before and after.

Also, thanks to Mike, Mike, and Rob K. for helping clear out the garage on Friday morning.

Ditto!!! Thanks so much to Kelly for hosting and all of his help and expertise, Thomas for smoking (never disappoints!), Rob R and Rob K for your help on my rig (and all of the food that Rob R brought), and Kelly's family for some excellent treats and having us over.

Thank you!!

Wow, sounds like a great weekend...and three knuckle rebuilds....makes my one (that I am not done with yet) seem paltry. I blame the heat and working in a garage with no A/C...but even though I am not done yet...I can say that I learned a lot about my cruiser this weekend. Hope to get it buttoned up tonight.

Thank you everyone for the help and the space and the food. It was a great weekend. As I was starting to run out of energy and my lack of knowledge was showing, several of you jumped in and helped me get it wrapped up. I can't thank you enough. The process of shimming to set pre-load can be exhausting. Here's a few shots from Friday night. We had a parts washer for awhile, but by the last picture she had washed her last part for awhile.

Saturday I lost my parts washer completely to her homework. At the end of the night as most everything was cleaned up we sampled a ghost pepper beer and gluten free beer. Not sure there was a clear winner there. Shortly after that Kelly had a brainstorming session for the design of foo's rear bumper as seen in the last picture. I know there were a few that finally got some space and finished up on Sunday, but I missed it. Thanks again to Kelly and everyone else who made this such a great weekend.

Many thanks to Kelly for hosting and to all those that helped out this weekend! I had most of my parts for at least a year. Not sure why I kept putting the repairs off but turned out replacing the seals and radiator was easy with the right help.

Thanks again!
