You know, other than an absolute splitting headache...I wish there was a way to tell how a good lift support was going bad. I wish there was some indication, a warning, a sign of an impending skull fracture. 🤔

And no, not going to carry these. The left and right ArmStrong hood struts are available on Amazon for $38 and they should be bolt-in. No modifications needed.

Getting started on the turbo install prep. Since this is going to be my new marketing vehicle I figured it would be good to invest a little sweat equity into the engine bay to clean things up. Removed everything from the passenger side fender and cleaned/polished and waxed the entire inner fender, core support and firewall. Going to update the hardware with new and then cad plating a bunch of metal bits. I’m also replacing a bunch of stuff as well just to clean things up. Not going stupid crazy but it’ll look like some effort was put in.

Sooooooooo satisfying.

Yesterday the fender was cleaned up to get ready for the turbo. Last night at 2am I realized I forgot to not only register the truck, but I also forget to get the truck smogged FOR California. 😳

Woke my little brother up early to get him to put EVERYTHING bad together so we can drive over to a random smog check station and HOPE that this federal 80Series passes CA smog. 😳

But guess what? Passed with absolute flying colors! 🇺🇸

So now tomorrow it’ll go to registration and then it’ll be turbo time!

I am in the middle of cycle hell with emissions myself.
 
What are those "Not Acceptable"s ?
