Got my hands on a spare valve cover for the 1FZ Turbo truck. Used the opportunity to tig weld some 10AN fittings for the vent and the PCV valve. Now it’s ready for hydrofilm graphics 🤩

Originally I was gonna run one of those cheapy aluminum light bars into the underside of the hood like I did in my other Land Cruiser. But the thought of putting something made in China into this turbo project just makes me ill. So instead I’m going to rock the #BajaDesigns underhood (rock) light. The light output is perfect and its Made in America 🇺🇸

How are you switching this light?

I just looked into these lights. They have a version that the switch is on the light too.

Are those Scratch-and-Sniff boxes? :grinpimp:

Good luck, and safe travels.

Also, add checking the lug nuts to you’re pre departure list. Few things suck worse than wheel hub separation 300 miles after purchase!

Also, we can compare temps. I’m running Trail Specs 3 piece louvre set.
Do you know the IAT temps on yours, on a 90* day?

When I was turbo'd my IAT's (measured at the MAF) were always just a touch above ambient outdoor air temp. 98-105 on a 90* day. I had an intake that drew fresh air from behind the headlight. Probably pretty similar temp wise to the stock air can with a snorkel.

Question for anyone who might know. Will IAT's be that much different post turbo, comparing dorkel and stock? Also, does it matter? I do not want to install one if I can avoid it.

I know @NLXTACY had around 70*-80* higher than ambient with stock intake, pre-compressed air, running the SC? Then just a few * above after snorkel install.
