Hello. I inherited one of these lock boxes in my LX450. I need to pull the console to adjust the parking brake (yes, I already adjusted at the brakes). I can't find any instructions on how these install, and I don't want to tear everything up to force it out. Does anyone have instructions or a tutorial or anything?

I have three screws removed from the shifter console; four from the sides of the rear console, two out of the floor of the lockbox, and it's practically as firm as when I started. I don't see anything else to pull but there must be more.

TIA

Of anything in particular?

Well I figured out that this cupholder is interfering with the box. Of course its double sided taped in place, and going nowhere soon, so I think I might cut off the piece that is interfering (I don't see that it does anything other than interfere with the box and cover up the hinge screws).

Anyone have any other tips or suggestions before I start destroying things?
If my memory still serves me, there was only the bolts on the bottom that secured it to the body. Remove those and it should just slide out.

I had to cut off the tab for the cupholder.
Did you find all the screws for the rear cup holders? If i recall there are are couple of hiodden ones in thh "slot". If you can save the cup holders someone on mud with kids who spill drinbks will thank you

I found the screws. It was the double-sided tape that was the problem. I rammed a plastic scraper under there and realized I was looking at a real PITA, so I put the screws back in and just cut off that curved tab that covered the screws for lid. The cupholder is still in place.

I realized that my lower lid doesn't latch anymore after all this.. Must need some adjustment (probably rearward).
