WOW.. people weren't lying when they said the fit was tight to get the shelf in. Tried to get it in and got it to a point where I actually thought I wasn't going to be able to get it out (was ever so slightly cockeyed). May end up leaving the shelf out, still gonna get it powdercoated though and maybe try and bend the ears slightly so it slides in there a bit easier.

I had a few minutes the other day and tried to install this but the ecu harness seems to be in the way (1988 62). Didn’t have too much time to fiddle with it so just put the stock one back in. Any tips for this?

It was tested for that. The new glovebox pushed up against the harness. There is enough give on the harness to allow the box to be installed.

Picked mine up from the powder coater last night and installed it today. Went with a hammered black coating so it would have a factory look to it. The guy does it as a side hustle out of his garage, but he does great work. LOVE this insert!

Sheesh! It took 8 months to get rid of the last batch that I ONLY did because some of the first batch go destroyed in shipping

Ask me in a few weeks. I might start up another batch of them. Dunno, demand is blah.

I think we are up to 6....but I am guessing a batch is twice that so everyone speak up if they want one. My cardboard has a big hole in the bottom that someone made taking the AC amplifier out and in.
