Anyhow, love your truck; those Tacomas will go anywhere. I had one years ago, close to 400k on the dial before my nephew got her.

Just because I'm a butthead: Tacoma model didn't exist until 1995. Pre-'95 is just a 'Pickup' or some people might say 'Hilux'.

Toyota, in the Fast Moving Parts Catalog prior to T100, Tundra and Tacoma, refers to the pickups as just "truck." I still call the Gen1 trucks Hilux.

My bad, a guy I was working with yesterday asked I wanted to buy his Tacoma and it looks very smiliar. You can call mine a jeep when you see it.

That would just be rude, but maybe I could get away with calling it a 4Runner.

Actually, one can have a 95 "Truck" as the Tacoma's didn't start until 1995.5... I had a 2wd truck with a 1995 VIN date code

No bad, I appreciated the compliment! Agreed, tacoma or truck or pickup, whatever - these little things have hearts of gold. Mine is so wrinkled on the right side that it's a little hard to discern the body lines anyway.
I'd say by your past and present vehicle ownership, your Toyota knowledge is on firm ground.
Jeep? Ya, if anyone calls your rig a jeep, I'll personally sock them in the throat, just on principle.

K. I'm sticking with you... anyone that agrees that's an offense worthy of a throat-punch I'll call friend! When I sold the 40 I put on the sign that I would not sell it to anyone who called it a jeep; no matter how much they paid me. :)

K. But only once. Then we can take a break on the trail and enjoy nice cool drinks from the console cooler for you and @Dumpolina and call it good. Oh wait... you were the one being a butt and called it "just" a truck! :hmm:;)

You guys are cracking me up!

Grant - were you in the Jemez on last Monday when I passed you on 550?

I was in the dodge headed back from the Santa Fe forest open house in Cuba. I like what I saw about the west portion changes- pretty minor.

Your rig sure looks good out there all geared up!
