Windshield Woes!!!

I’ve been looking around for a glass guy willing to remove my glass and come back for install a few days later to give me a chance to address any surprises lurking underneath.

I figured I’d find some rust under the old windshield but Dayum was it much worse than I expected!

Got to work grinding off all the rust and with the help of my friend and neighbor, AKA “Polish Auto Restoration”, who came through with a welder got her patched up!

Ended up going with POR 15 rust kit to treat the area, with a degreaser, metal etching prep and final coat. I think I’m ready for some new glass!

@Pacer The carpet would be wet under the floor mats but no rain would come in while driving, my guess is it was all seeping in from that bottom area.
